I have considered offering SEO training for over two years. I decided to move in the SEO training direction after attending a Bruce Clay workshop in 2007. A client offered to send me if I would make the trip to California. I agreed and the trip was great. The workshop was also very informative as well. However, I didn’t learn anything new. Considering the very high cost of the workshop, almost $2,400.00, I was hoping to at least learn a few “SEO secrets” from a veteran SEO professional.
Apparently there are no SEO secrets to know. That was about the only thing I learned in my three days in Simi Valley. Of course I knew this but I was hoping for much more for my clients investment in my education.
The visit did confirm what I had thought for a few years, I can train business owners to do SEO for their own businesses. I almost started the training classes last year but decided to wait for my domain name to age a little before starting the process of developing the program and setting up a new website.
